Singing Praise!

Heroes are important in my life ... I think they are important in anybody's life -- and so I honor mine here in this post:

My guardian angel(s) who come to my rescue every time I call.

My beautiful Dixie Lee.

World Vets and all the other people and organizations who work as advocates for and rescuers of animals and our earth.

The musical artists who write, sing, and play about truth in their music; the visual artists who state truth in their drawings and paintings; God bless the musicians and artists, who persevere and create and help lift the world's burdens.

Philip (deceased and very sadly missed), my multi-talented musician friend who was also my most ardent and steadfast fan.

Gerald, who shares the gift of humor and his generous heart.

Dr. Griffith of Knoxville, TN, who is a wonderful person and the very best M.D.

Dr. Stewart of Knoxville, TN, who is a wonderful person and the very best chiropractor.

Dr. Lentz of Farragut, TN, who is absolutely the most knowledgeable, kindest, best, and caring veterinarian.

Diana, who exemplifies integrity and strength.

William, who has illuminated many things for me, especially about myself.

My students, each of whom is a very special light in my life.

The men at TVUUC who helped save my life on 7/27/08.

My mother (deceased), who had an amazingly giving and generous spirit and who was a back-stage mom, my cheerleader and promoter.

My paternal grandmother (deceased), who was my childhood playmate and talented mentor.

The shamans and mystics who honor all facets of earth, the cosmos, and our natural world.

Shara, the lovely flower who is discovering her wisdom and strength and expanding her horizon.

Harry (deceased), the unlikely hero who seemed proud to be a curmudgeon -- his vision and honesty were refreshing and helpful.

Dennis, my prison pen-pal (via a church program), who is a talented musician and sketch artist, has an inspiring life philosophy and a great sense of humor, is a high academic achiever, and is a great joy for me to know.

My spirit council/counsel (both apply), ever willing to help me learn and evolve.

Each of the men who stopped and assisted me years ago along the highways, when my cherished classic but very old vehicles became disabled.

Each of my dear friends.

Myself, for my fortitude and (what I (believe is) a loving heart.
